Statement of Inclusion

Statement of Inclusion

Buddhist Recovery Circle stands for the inclusion and safety of all beings, both within and without the recovery community.

We recognize that the karma of non-inclusion based in racism, sexism, transphobia, or discrimination against anyone based on orientation, ability, or class leads to actions and experiences that deepen the suffering of all.

As practitioners in Buddhist recovery, we commit to the principle of non-harm in our thoughts, our words, and our actions.

“If we wish to ensure everyone’s peace and happiness, we need to cultivate respect for the diversity of our peoples and cultures, founded on an understanding of the fundamental sameness of all human beings.”

H.H. The Dalai Lama
